Happy Easter, folks! I decided to take a little break and update the family blog. It's been a busy weekend. The kids participated in the neighborhood Easter egg hunt yesterday, while I got ready for Easter performances at church today (I accompanied the choir on the piano for 3 songs and I accompanied myself while I sang for the Young Women). It's true, I was dying Easter eggs at 10:00 last night, but it's amazing how quickly that task gets done when there are no kids around!! Dunk, dunk and you're done... incredible!

Here are a few pictures of my ragamuffin children hunting for Easter eggs yesterday.

Somehow we managed to get some pictures taken of my children, who, for some reason unbeknownst to me, believed me when I said you HAVE to wear a belt and a tie or a nice dress for Easter. They even combed their hair... and that was after cinnamon rolls and Easter candy for breakfast! Go figure. Just so you don't think I'm lying about the kids cleaning up pretty welll, I have proof!! (OK, Daniel still looks a little goofy!)

Aren't they sweet looking? Trust me, it was mostly for the picture, but actually they've been pretty well behaved today considering the sugar factor.
By way of news, James finished basketball after a great season, Peter is gearing up for meet season for gymnastics, Rebecca is still our social butterfly-- always asking for play dates, and Daniel is getting ready for concert season for P'zazz, his showchoir. David got 2 "no thank you" letters after his interviews last month, and is applying for jobs all over the country at the speed of lightning. Stacey started teaching piano lessons and is still spending a lot of time at the elementary school, especially with all the activities that come with the end of the school year.

Here's our cute quote for the week... One of the kids had a friend over for dinner. He said, "Thanks for the great dinner! I love coming over here because you really cook. My mom usually buys stuff for dinner. Her idea of cooking is pre-heat to 450 and bake for 8 minutes." Although I could use that as a springboard for a social commentary, I decided to chuckle and take the compliment, instead! :-)

Hope you all have a great week. Please keep us in your prayers -- we really need David to find a job soon.
